Zhangjiagang: 20 million yuan of special funds for job stability have been allocated

Recently, Zhangjiagang City issued the "Ten Measures to Support Enterprises in Maintaining Employment and Retaining Workers and Encourage New Citizens to Stay in Hong Kong for the New Year" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"), focusing on supporting enterprises in maintaining employment and retaining workers, providing care and concern for life, and enriching life during the Spring Festival holiday.

In terms of supporting enterprises to keep jobs and retain workers, Zhangjiagang proposed to provide enterprises with subsidies for job retention. Industrial enterprises are encouraged to retain employees and stabilize production during the Spring Festival to ensure the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain. A special fund of 20 million yuan for job retention is arranged. For industrial enterprises above designated size that maintain continuous production during the "Spring Festival" month of 2021 (electricity consumption in February 2021 is not less than 70% of that in January 2021), a one-time job retention subsidy of 500 yuan per person will be given to the enterprise based on the number of insured employees in February 2021, and the maximum subsidy amount for each enterprise shall not exceed 200,000 yuan.

In terms of providing care and concern for life, Zhangjiagang organized "Spring Festival condolences". It implemented the policy of returning the union funds of small and micro enterprises in full, encouraged enterprises to make good use of the returned funds, and carried out the "Spring Festival Warm Employees" activity for those who stayed in Hong Kong for the New Year. For the families of new citizens and employees in need who stayed in Hong Kong for the New Year, a one-time hardship condolence payment of 1,000 to 4,000 yuan and a Spring Festival gift package will be given to each household according to the degree of difficulty.
