Top flagship phones in recent years have similar designs: the front and back are covered with glass, and the middle frame is made of aluminum alloy or steel.
In the past two years, some mobile phone manufacturers, such as Samsung and Huawei, have begun to explore the possibilities of foldable screen mobile phones, and the former has already launched three foldable screen mobile phone products.
The Galaxy Fold 2 launched this year shows people the latest form of foldable screen mobile phones.
As one of the top five mobile phone manufacturers in the world, OPPO is exploring the possibility of foldable screen phones. Today, they collaborated with Japanese design studio nendo to showcase a concept foldable screen phone.
It also has a folding screen, but what makes it different from other folding screen phones on the market is that it is divided into three parts, so it can be folded twice.
Fold the whole device up, it is small enough to be held in the hand; flip open a part to get a 1.5-inch screen for users to answer calls, check notifications or open music apps, etc.
Open the second part and you will get a 3.15-inch screen. OPPO said that this scene can be used for users to take photos or play some small games.
When fully unfolded, a whole 7-inch screen can be fully displayed. There is also an area inside the body for placing a stylus, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note series, and there are four cameras on the outside of the body.
This design looks completely different from the current foldable screen phones and has a unique sci-fi feel. Although it may represent the design of future mobile phones, it is difficult for consumers to buy smartphones with such designs in the short term. That being said, OPPO's first foldable phone may be equipped with a rollable display and will be released sometime early next year.
In addition to the foldable phone, OPPO also showed off a new true wireless earphone design, but it’s unlikely we’ll see this product hit the market yet.
