Google confirms Pixel 4/4 XL is out

      On August 6, 9to5Google discovered that Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL were out of stock in Google's online store, and it was suspected that they had been discontinued.

　　Google confirmed 9to5Google's speculation and officially announced that it has discontinued Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. They are no longer sold on the official website, and other retail channels will only sell them while supplies last.

　　Google also stated that although the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have been discontinued, the official will still provide update support. Both flagships will receive major Android version updates and monthly security updates before October 2022.

　　As a rule, Pixel models are discontinued a few months after the release of a new Pixel, accompanied by large-scale price cuts and promotions to clear out the last inventory.

　　However, it has been less than a year since the release of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, and in April this year, Google even cut prices significantly, with a drop of up to US$300 (approximately RMB 2,100).

　　9to5Google pointed out that the poor sales of Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are the main reasons why Google stopped production ahead of schedule. After the suspension of production, Google will fully prepare for the release and listing of the Pixel 5 series. It was revealed that Pixel 5 will be released in October.
