Recently, Anxin Netshield (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Anxin Netshield) completed a pre-A round of financing of tens of millions of yuan. This round of financing will be mainly used for the research and development of its memory protection products.
According to official news from Anxin NetShield, this round of financing was jointly led by Hillhouse Capital and a well-known security company.
Anxin NetShield is an information security technology service provider. Based on cutting-edge technologies such as hardware virtualization, it is committed to developing future-oriented security solutions to help enterprises locate advanced source threats such as fileless attacks and 0Day vulnerability attacks in business-critical applications, map correct application behaviors, and immediately detect and prevent deviations caused by attacks.
Anxin Netshield's main product is the Anxin Shenjia intelligent memory protection system, which proposes a new idea to help customers cope with the growing security threats. This product protects memory at the application level based on real-time program behavior monitoring, memory operation monitoring and other technologies. Effectively, it can help customers detect attacks in real time, protect core businesses from being blocked, and core data assets from being stolen.
It is reported that the establishment of Anxin NetShield is the reunion of the two founders, CEO Jiang Xiangqian and CTO Yao Jiwei. As early as 2009, they jointly founded a security laboratory and developed the first generation of malicious code detection engine based on behavioral analysis. It ranked second in the world in the evaluation of the international authoritative evaluation organization VB100, and provided security engines for well-known companies such as Google and Huawei.
According to statistics, in 2019, the rate of new global cyber attacks causing losses of more than 5 million US dollars increased by 400% year-on-year compared with 2018. The average loss caused by advanced threats to domestic enterprises and institutions was 24.32 million yuan per incident, and memory-based attacks accounted for 62% of the above-mentioned advanced threats.
The core principle of memory security is based on the computer architecture. Any code that needs to be executed by the CPU and any data that needs to be processed must be stored in the memory. By monitoring CPU instructions, the memory code and data status can be monitored. By using technologies such as memory virtualization to monitor the reading, writing, and execution of memory, various threats can be effectively defended.
