iPhone 7 has become the little prince of flashing among Apple phones. Does this surprise everyone?
According to foreign media reports, after reverse engineering by developers, iPhone 7 has successfully booted postmarketOS, becoming the first Apple Linux smartphone. And now, they have successfully unlocked another function from the command line to the graphical user interface (GUI).
"Since my last post on running postmarketOS Linux on iPhone 7, I was finally able to mount and run a larger and persistent system image from the iPhone system memory," project leader Onny said in a blog post. "So I used the same Corellium technology in the Android version of iPhone 7. In addition, I also implemented instantaneous write support for postmarketOS by using OverlayFS."
On the other hand, the project also makes it possible to enable and connect to other devices via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, as Corellium has already implemented the same functionality in its custom kernel.
