On the morning of March 20, according to foreign media macrumors, through code analysis of the quasi-official version of iOS 13.4 GM, it was confirmed that all 2020 iPad Pro models have 6GB RAM. In the previous generation, that is, the 2018 iPad Pro, only the top-end 1TB has 6GB RAM, and other models only have 4GB.
This also means that all storage versions of the iPad Pro 2020 are expected to provide exactly the same performance while keeping the background open. The iPad Pro 2020 has 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage versions.
The code also confirmed that the new iPad Pro is equipped with an ultra-wideband U1 chip for the first time. This chip has been previously installed on the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. This chip can improve the device's positioning accuracy to 10~30cm, especially for purposes such as AirDrop.
However, Apple did not mention it when it released the iPad Pro 2020. It is not clear whether the iPad Pro 2020 has the relevant features enabled.
It is reported that Apple's upcoming AirTag tracker will also be equipped with a U1 chip.
