The HTC G1 is often considered the first Android phone, but it wasn't.
Before the birth of HTC G1, Google had launched a full keyboard phone running the Android system, code-named Sooner.
This prototype suddenly appeared on eBay recently and was sold in large quantities at a price of US$195 (approximately RMB 1,400).
In terms of specifications, Sooner is equipped with Texas Instruments' TI OMAP 850 SoC, 64RAM memory, 320x240 resolution, 1.3 million pixel camera, 960mAh battery, and supports 2G network.
It should be noted that Sooner does not have a touch screen, does not support Wi-Fi, the overall style is more like a BlackBerry product, and is equipped with a very basic Android system.
In fact, this is also the reason why Google gave up Sooner. After observing the iPhone and iOS, Google decisively gave up the outdated small-screen design and turned to HTC G1.
Information on the product page shows that this batch of Sooner is inventory that has been stored for more than 10 years. There may be problems with the battery or even the machine itself. It is suitable for users who want to collect it as a souvenir.
