IPLytics, an internationally renowned patent data company, released the latest 5G industry patent report.


The report shows that the Chinese army performed well in 5G patents. Huawei ranked first with 3,147 patents, and ZTE ranked third with 2,561 patents. The second place was South Korea's Samsung, with 2,795 patents.


The specific rankings are as follows (red is from China):

In addition, companies such as vivo, Lenovo, Hony Innovation, and Unisoc are also on the list. The Chinese team accounts for more than one-third of the latest 5G standard essential patents disclosed, showing strong strength.


Four companies and institutions from Taiwan, including ASUS, HTC, MediaTek (MTK), and Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan, are also on the list.
