On the afternoon of September 14, Richard Yu announced that the newly released Huawei FreeBuds 3 wireless Bluetooth headset won 11 IFA awards. This latest Bluetooth headset was officially released at Huawei's IFA press conference on September 6.
Huawei released two chips at IFA 2019, one is the world's first flagship 5G SoC chip Kirin 990, and the other is Kirin A1. Huawei FreeBuds 3 wireless Bluetooth headset is the first product equipped with Kirin A1 chip.
Yu Chengdong said: "Its active noise reduction and outdoor windproof capabilities are very strong. It is difficult to achieve active noise reduction on open headphones. This is a feature that many open TWS headphones do not have! I used it on an airplane, and the noise reduction and sound quality experience were great."
Huawei FreeBuds 3 adopts a semi-open bionic design, which is very comfortable to wear. It is also the world's first true wireless headset with an open design that supports active noise reduction, which can eliminate ambient noise. With the technical advantages of dual-channel synchronous transmission of the Kirin A1 chip, the latency is as low as 190ms, which is lower than that of Apple AirPods 2. Its dolphin vocal cavity bionic body has a beautiful design, and its comfort and wearing stability are improved; the 14mm high-sensitivity large dynamic unit, combined with the bass tube design, can bring a better stereo experience when playing music and playing games.
Huawei FreeBuds 3 uses a 14mm high-sensitivity dynamic unit and a bass tube design, with a latency as low as 190nm, which is lower than AirPods 2. In terms of battery life, Huawei FreeBuds 3 itself supports 4 hours of battery life, and the charging box can provide 20 hours of battery life. It also supports fast charging technology, with wired charging being 100% faster than AirPods 2 and wireless charging being 50% faster than AirPods 2.
The Verge, an American technology media, tried this product for the first time. They believe that the active noise reduction technology of HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 is a "very unusual" design, which can effectively filter low-frequency noise, such as the roar of airplanes or other vehicles. Before the third generation of Apple AirPods is released (at least until next year), HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 provides functions that Apple Airpods cannot achieve.
CNET also expressed its own opinion. They believe that it is "incredible" that HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 can achieve active noise reduction technology in such a small semi-open headphone size. Huawei officially claims that this technology can effectively reduce 15 decibels of noise. Coupled with the bone voiceprint call noise reduction technology, it is simply the best companion for business trips.
