Tao Jingwen, President of Huawei's Quality and Process IT Management Department, expressed his hope to work with Jilin University to cultivate relevant talents needed for the Kunpeng computing industry. Huawei will set up a research institute in Changchun. In terms of scientific research cooperation, Huawei will rely on the Changchun Research Institute to continue to increase cooperation with Jilin University in multiple disciplines and fields such as smart cars and artificial intelligence in the future.

On July 5, Huawei's application for Class A qualification for producing navigation electronic maps was published on the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources. After the publication is passed, Huawei will become the 20th company in my country that can legally produce autonomous driving maps (high-precision maps) and can carry out business research and development related to autonomous driving.
In addition, Huawei also released a new 5G multi-mode terminal chip, Balong 5000, at the beginning of the year. This chip is the world's first in-vehicle multi-mode chip that supports V2X (information exchange between the vehicle and the outside world) and supports autonomous driving.
In addition, Changchun has a certain foundation in the automobile industry. China FAW, located in Changchun, is one of the earliest companies in China to carry out research and development of intelligent connected vehicle technology.
