Keysight Technologies Provides Advanced Professional Solutions for Four Important 6G Projects in Europe
Keysight Technologies uses its professional advantages in design, simulation and testing to help Europe enhance its 6G research and innovation capabilities; its active participation in the 6G Intelligent Network and Service Consortium project will help it establish and consolidate its industry-leading position in Europe's 5G and 6G networks and services; this also indicates that Keysight Technologies is making outstanding contributions to establishing a "public-private partnership" and accelerating the development of intelligent communication components, systems and networks.
Keysight Technologies, Inc. recently announced that it will provide advanced professional solutions for four projects of the 6G Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS-JU). SNS-JU is a research and innovation program co-funded by the European Union (EU). Keysight provides advanced design and verification solutions to accelerate innovation and create a secure and connected world.
Joint innovation of multiple interconnect technologies is critical to achieving the expected performance, reliability, security, resilience and sustainability of 5G-Advanced and 6G use cases. In Europe, 6G SNS is committed to supporting the construction of a first-class advanced 5G system supply chain and building 6G technical capabilities.
Keysight Technologies Provides Advanced Professional Solutions for Four Important 6G Projects in Europe
Keysight Technologies brings a full set of advanced solutions covering multiple technical fields to 6G SNS, which helps to develop intelligent communication components, systems and networks. Academia, research institutions and commercial organizations participating in the program have used Keysight's expertise in design, simulation and testing for prototyping, proof of concept (PoC) and testing. Keysight's contribution to this "public-private partnership" will help promote and develop its industry-leading position in Europe's 5G and 6G networks and services.
The four 6G SNS projects in which Keysight Technologies is involved will be launched in early 2023, with a project life of two to three years. The four projects are:
• 6G-SANDBOX: This project will integrate digital and physical nodes to provide an end-to-end network that can be fully configured, managed and controlled to verify new 6G technologies and research results.
• CENTRIC: This project is based on air interface using artificial intelligence (AI) technology to achieve user-centric sustainable 6G networks.
• Imagine-B5G: This project leverages superior network capabilities and cloud-native principles to enable an advanced, secure, programmable, and accessible end-to-end Beyond 5G platform.
• 6G SHINE: This project will replace some of the current wired connections and become the main technology used in physical short-range extreme communications.
By making early investments in technology building blocks and establishing partnerships with universities, consortiums and commercial organizations, Keysight is providing 6G pioneers with the tools they need to explore new spectrum, develop new radio and network topologies, and establish new standards.
"Keysight is actively participating in the four projects launched following the first 6G SNS meeting. We will contribute to these projects with our advanced solutions expertise to help stakeholders from various industries create meaningful and sustainable innovations," said Giampaolo Tardioli, vice president of 6G and Future Technologies at Keysight. "By establishing a benchmark testbed early in the innovation cycle, the industry can confidently develop appropriate technical standards. Keysight's contributions to the 6G SNS will drive several major technology advances that are expected to realize the industry's 6G vision, such as short-range communications and AI programmable networks."
