How to use IAR V7.12.1 to program MSP430 series microcontrollers [Copy link]

Note: The following fault phenomena can be solved according to this configuration.
1. Click the gray option in Project-Download;

2. Click Project - Download and Debug. The compilation is successful, but the program cannot be downloaded to the development board (the development board is still running the previous program);

3. An error message appears when downloading the program. The driver does not match. "Chosen derivative (Generic MSP430 device) and actual hardware (MSP430F149) do not match."

related questions: The official website says that the MSP430 series supports IAR V7.20 at the highest level. Why not use this version?
: Because there is no suitable cracking tool for this version online. I have tried almost all free cracking tools online and failed. So I chose v7.12.1 as the next best option.

Configuration method of IAR burning program:
1. Right click on the "project name" and select Option.


2. Select the driver corresponding to the chip model

3. Select FET Debugger in Debugger.

3. After connecting the development board, select Download and Debug or Download in Project to burn the program

4. Hardware connection.
If you purchased the development board of the MSP430 microcontroller minimum system, you need to purchase this TI burner to download the program (of course, there are also ones directly integrated on the development board online, which can be connected with a USB cable, but the price is more expensive).


I originally wanted to post the final connection effect diagram, but the cable is too long. It can't fit in one photo.
