The "OFweek 2024 (13th) China Robot Industry Conference" hosted by OFweek, a Chinese high-tech portal, and organized by OFweek Robotics was successfully held in Shenzhen from April 18 to 19. At the "Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Industry Innovation and Development Forum" held on the afternoon of the 19th, Huang Wei, general manager of the Lide Space Robot Division, delivered a keynote speech entitled "Lide Space Intelligent Logistics Solutions".


Founded in 1999, Lide Space is a high-tech enterprise jointly established by Wuhan University, Li Deren, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Dongfeng Motor Group, China North Industries Group Corporation, and China Tobacco Corporation . It aims to solve the problem of backward surveying and mapping methods and difficulty in obtaining geographic information in China at that time by developing mobile surveying technology.

Taking surveying to the extreme

Lide Space has developed the "Roadmaster" robot positioning and navigation system (PNS) that is compatible with any robot (chassis) by using high-precision map measurement technology, inertial combined navigation technology, SLAM positioning and navigation technology, etc.

The positioning and navigation system has functions such as measurement, perception, navigation, positioning, and control. It helps robots install "eyes" and "ears" so that they can "measure the route", "walk" and "remember the route".   • Unmanned counterbalanced forklift : The "Iron Bull" unmanned counterbalanced forklift is based on a multi- sensor fusion positioning and navigation system including multi-line laser radar, RTK, inertial navigation, etc. It can provide an overall solution for unmanned cargo forklift, multi-machine scheduling, and logistics automation, and can identify and locate pallets, cargo, production lines, etc. in complex scenarios, so as to perform precise forklift and handling operations.


  • Indoor and outdoor unmanned tractors : At present, Lide Space mainly involves 2T/6T/8T/20T/40T special vehicles, using laser, vision, satellite and other multi-sensor fusion SLAM technology, using trailer transportation equipment, and independently completing the transfer of goods, covering different indoor and outdoor working environments, and comprehensively improving the internal logistics capacity and efficiency of the factory.

  • 800kg/2T flatbed truck : The flatbed truck is equipped with powered rollers inside the truck compartment, which are combined with multi-sensor adaptive fusion navigation algorithm, environmental perception algorithm, path planning algorithm and high-reliability control algorithm to achieve all-weather, indoor and outdoor cargo transfer and flexible transportation docking with roller conveyor lines.


All-day, all-round, fully autonomous intelligence

In addition to logistics products, Huang Wei also introduced another star product of the company to the guests on site - the inspection robot.

Lide space inspection robot Integrates robot technology, 3D slam navigation and positioning technology, pattern recognition technology, multi-sensor fusion technology and Internet of Things technology , etc., and is equipped with a high-definition night vision camera for real-time monitoring.


At the same time, the robot integrates thermal imaging systems, visual cameras and laser radar multi-sensors to collect information about the surrounding environment, complete autonomous positioning and navigation, autonomous obstacle avoidance and three-dimensional environment reconstruction functions, and can realize all-day, all-round, fully autonomous intelligent inspection and safety protection of indoor and outdoor factory areas , including automatic patrol, intelligent meter reading, image recognition, infrared temperature measurement and other functions. It also uses advanced artificial intelligence to replace people to complete inspections and equipment identification work, and promptly discover safety hazards such as equipment failures, harmful gas leaks, and fires, greatly reducing the work pressure and intensity of operation and maintenance personnel and improving the level of safety protection.

Huang Wei said that Lide Space has designed a complete set of autonomous navigation and positioning and unmanned inspection solutions for the State Grid based on complex scenarios in cable tunnels, which used quadruped robots .

This quadruped robot is based on the real-time positioning of the Beidou satellite. Due to its small size, it can autonomously navigate and operate in complex and narrow tunnels and other environmental road networks, solving the problems of complex underground tunnel environments, narrow working surfaces, no GNSS signals, high risks and low efficiency in daily work, and realizing the rapid production of indoor and outdoor high-precision maps, unmanned autonomous exploration of underground spaces, dangerous and other complex scenes, autonomous navigation and positioning, and other functions.
