On August 29, Efort released its 2022 semi-annual performance report. The report showed that the operating income in the first half of 2022 was about 608 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was a loss of 70.3643 million yuan.
During the reporting period, the sales volume of EFORT's robot business increased by 17.33% year-on-year, but due to changes in product structure, the revenue of the robot business was basically the same as the same period last year. The impact of the epidemic on overseas system integration business has gradually weakened, and the project execution has improved compared with the same period last year. The domestic system integration business actively carried out risk control and reduced resource occupation. The company's overall integration business increased by about 10.16% compared with the same period last year.
At present, the relevant policies issued by the state have brought unprecedented benefits and market drive to the industrial robot market. The government has also continued to introduce policies to stabilize economic growth and increase investment in high-tech fields such as new energy vehicles, lithium batteries and photovoltaics, and 5G.
In the face of opportunities for industry growth, Efort also mentioned in its semi-annual report that in 2021 the company will reorganize its strategy, focus on the robotics business, clearly define the company's robotics business as the core business of the entire Efort, and continuously consolidate the core competitiveness of robots.
On the one hand, EFORT continues to launch new robot products that meet market demand.
In terms of robot products, EFORT has launched the GR6150-1500 spraying robot for small parts spraying; for new energy, 3C electronics and metal processing industries, it has launched the ER8-1300, ER10-1100, ER12-900 series robots developed based on heavy-load desktops, as well as the ER25-1800 and ER25-1600 robot products derived and iterated based on the mature ER20-1700 platform; for high-precision and high-protection application scenarios of new energy, the ER15-1400 product has been optimized and improved; iterative optimization and design of models such as 50 kg load, 130 kg load, 180 kg load, 210 kg load and collaborative robots have been carried out, which has comprehensively improved product performance and reduced production costs; the SCARA product series has been further improved, and product performance such as door trajectory beat and positioning accuracy has been improved.
In terms of application scenarios, EFORT's products are used in scenarios such as multi-station placement of PCB boards, polishing, hot bending, assembly, and transportation of smart phones in the 3C industry; in scenarios such as battery and flower basket transportation, component stringing, and insertion in the photovoltaic industry; and in scenarios such as battery pack transportation and stacking in the lithium battery industry.
At the same time, EFORT also took "building lighthouses and expanding channels" as an important marketing initiative, and successfully provided industrial robot products to lighthouse customers such as Foxconn, BYD, Luxshare Precision, Zhuhai Guanyu, Guoxuan High-tech, and Jabil Electronics.
On the other hand, in order to improve its robotics business, EFORT continues to promote the comprehensive introduction of independent core components and accelerate the domestic substitution of core components.
With the expansion of the industrial robot market and the continuous expansion of application scenarios, the capabilities of industrial robot software systems will have an increasingly greater impact on the functions and performance of robots, and the value of software systems will become increasingly prominent. The carrier of robot software is the robot's drive control system, and the robot's performance and functions are directly affected by the relevant control algorithms in the drive control system.
In recent years, EFORT has further improved its autonomous drivers for small and medium loads and further standardized its electronic control systems; achieved an increase in the coverage of autonomous controllers; completed the development of two platform-based electrical cabinets, the M-type and S-type, and is currently entering the mass production stage.
During the reporting period, the autonomy rate of EFORT's independent controllers reached 89.69%, and the autonomy rate of reducers reached 57.87%, an increase of 18.49 percentage points and 20.62 percentage points respectively over the same period last year.
Through continuous layout in the robot business, Efort achieved a complete machine sales revenue of 217 million yuan from January to June 2022. Among them, the sales volume of Efort's robot products in China's 3C industry and new energy industry (photovoltaic, lithium battery, etc.) increased by 22.7% over the same period last year.
