Does ThreadX open source have a big impact on other RTOS? [Copy link]

Recently, ThreadX has been open sourced, and many people I know have started playing this legendary ROTS. I feel that many people will gradually switch to ThreadX~

So, does the open source of ThreadX have a big impact on other RTOS? ?

Guan Guan saw someone say that the impact was simply devastating. Well, people have their own humanity and things have their own humanity. Guan Guan thinks that there will definitely be an impact, but the specific impact will not be exaggerated to the point of being devastating. It is certain that it will be compressed.

What do you think about this matter???

It will definitely have a huge impact. Microsoft is going to develop Azure IoT, so RTOS is inevitable. At least it will not be abandoned in this direction. ThreadX is so mature and powerful that if it were not a legacy project, it would probably become more and more of a regular in selection toolboxes.   Details Published on 2020-7-14 14:35

Because it was acquired by Microsoft, many people are deeply worried about this. When GitHub was acquired, many people switched to GitLab. Although there haven't been many bad changes yet, it's hard to say what will happen in the future. Moreover, from a historical perspective, many open source technologies and startups have been forgotten after being acquired by Apple, Google, and Microsoft.

It was originally a commercial system. In addition to the previous paying customers, open source is bound to expand some people, and it is currently the RTOS with the highest security level. When the learning materials are enriched, it will definitely compress the space of other RTOS
