Traditional hair dryer VS high-speed hair dryer
The hair dryer is a must-have item in the household. Traditional hair dryers mostly rotate at around 2W, and dry hair slowly (usually more than 10 minutes for medium-length hair). They mostly use high temperature to dry hair, but their disadvantage is that they can easily damage hair and make a lot of noise. High-speed hair dryers generally rotate at around 10W, no longer rely on high temperature to dry hair, dry hair quickly without damaging hair (usually about 5 minutes for medium-length hair), and can be made smaller, quieter, and provide a better user experience.
Traditional low-speed hair dryers are generally priced within 100 yuan, while high-speed hair dryers range from several hundred to several thousand yuan. In the high-end market, such as Dyson, the product is positioned above 3K+. There is no shortage of Dyson-like hair dryers on the market, and the prices range from several hundred to thousands. Some large manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Lefen, and Aux also sell high-speed hair dryers for several hundred to thousands of yuan, and the price gradient is not small. As people's living standards improve, high-speed hair dryers have become the choice of more and more people. Replacing traditional low-speed hair dryers is an inevitable trend. The current market pricing span of high-speed hair dryers is not small, and there is still a large profit margin.

High-speed air duct solution recommendation
Domestic high-speed hair dryer motors mostly use 310V DC brushless motors or low-voltage 24V DC brushless motors. We have launched two solutions based on these two types of motors.
1. Solution based on 310V brushless DC motor. This solution uses 220V AC power supply, and the main control uses HC32F460. After rectification by the rectifier bridge, it is supplied to the motor control end, and the pre-drive and system parts are powered by DCDC and LDO step-down. It has functions such as gear control, heating control, temperature monitoring, and negative ion generator. The functional block diagram of the solution is as follows:
2. Low-voltage version based on 24V high-speed motor. The overall function is the same as the above solution, the only difference is the power supply part, the motor part uses 24V, the solution block diagram is as follows:
Program Features
Both solutions launched use the AMetal-FOC high-performance sensorless algorithm, with high speed control accuracy and low motor vibration and noise. When the motor runs at 10W, the current is stable at 5.2A, with reliable operation, low heat generation, and high output power. The measured acceleration time to the rated speed is less than 300ms, and the acceleration can reach up to 400,000 RPM per second. The speed regulation process is shown in the figure below.
