On November 14, in the live broadcast this afternoon, Lei Jun emphasized that the intelligent chassis pre-research technology released in the morning is not PPT technology.
He said: "The test car is already running, and these technologies will be used in mass-produced cars in the future."
It is reported that Xiaomi's intelligent chassis pre-research technology is said to natively support fully autonomous driving, further opening up the integration of the "entire ecosystem of people, cars and homes" and creating a comprehensive digital foundation.
It mainly includes four major technologies, namely Xiaomi fully active suspension, Xiaomi super four-motor system, Xiaomi 48V wire-controlled braking, and Xiaomi 48V wire-controlled steering.
Xiaomi fully active suspension:
A single-wheel 4.6kW power source + dual-valve CDC can adjust the speed, adjustment range and lifting force. The adjustment range reaches 140mm, and the adjustment speed is 100 times that of the air spring. It can accurately filter out the fine bumps on the road. The lifting force of the fully active suspension is as high as 44400N, which is enough to lift two SU7 Max and effectively resolve strong impacts, realizing active suspension control of the vehicle, zero roll, zero bumps, and zero pitch.
Super Quad Motor System:
It consists of 2 new self-developed motors + 2 V8s motors, with a maximum horsepower of 2054PS. It can easily make a U-turn on the spot, a compass turn, and can also adjust the speed.
Xiaomi 48V Wire Control Brake:
The hydraulic mechanism has been eliminated and electric calipers are used, which increases the response speed by 40%, reduces the drag torque by 50%, increases the cruising range by 10km+, and eliminates the need to add brake fluid, making maintenance easier.
Xiaomi 48V wire-controlled steering:
It is a domestic first that eliminates mechanical connections, achieves human-machine decoupling, and offers stepless adjustable steering ratio within a range of 5:1-15:1. It takes into account both low-speed turning flexibility and high-speed lane change stability, can realize a steering wheel-free cockpit layout, and natively supports fully autonomous driving.
