Hangzhou and Jerusalem, August 1, 2024 - Today, Zeekr Intelligent Technology (hereinafter referred to as "Zeekr") and Mobileye jointly announced that based on the successful cooperation over the past few years, the two parties plan to accelerate the localization of technology in China , further integrate Mobileye technology into the next generation of Zeekr models, and continue to promote the implementation of both parties' advanced driving safety and autonomous driving technologies in the Chinese and global markets.
Since the end of 2021, Zeekr has delivered more than 240,000 Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009 models equipped with Mobileye SuperVision™ solutions to customers in China and around the world. To better respond to the growing customer demand in the Chinese market, the two parties plan to accelerate the large-scale deployment and delivery of the core technology of the Mobileye SuperVision™ platform.
With the deepening of cooperation between the two parties, Zeekr will be able to apply Mobileye's powerful road network intelligence technology to all its relevant models, and Zeekr's engineers will be able to better use Mobileye's technology and development tools for data verification and provide software upgrade services to customers more efficiently. In addition, the cooperation experience between the two parties will also accelerate Mobileye's progress in deploying a full set of autonomous driving solutions for its other customers in China.
The two parties will also work together to localize and customize other key technologies of Mobileye , such as the Mobileye DXP driving experience platform, a collaborative tool that enables automakers to customize the style and user experience of autonomous driving. In addition, the two parties will make full use of Zeekr's advanced vehicle manufacturing technology and Mobileye's autonomous driving technology, and based on the EyeQ6H system integrated chip, launch the next generation of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), automated and unmanned vehicles (from L2+ to L4) products for Zeekr and its related brands in the global market.
Zeekr plans to deploy the SuperVision™ solution on more models and next-generation manufacturing platforms, and further expand the coverage of its existing NZP autonomous navigation assistance system on highways and urban roads. So far, the SuperVision-based high-speed NZP has covered more than 150 cities in China.
An Conghui, CEO of Zeekr Intelligent Technology , said: "In the past few years, the successful cooperation with our strategic partner Mobileye has provided Zeekr users with industry-leading smart travel solutions. In the future, through a more open cooperation with Mobileye, we will strengthen the communication between the two teams, take our technological progress to a new level, and provide global users with a better car experience."
The importance of NZP to Zeekr is self-evident. So far, the vast majority of Zeekr users’ NZP accumulated mileage comes from Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009 models equipped with Mobileye SuperVision solutions. Good user feedback also fully demonstrates the value of advanced pilot assisted driving systems to consumers.
Professor Amnon Shashua, founder, president and CEO of Mobileye , said: "The cooperation between Mobileye and Zeekr has entered a new chapter, which will further promote the localization of Mobileye SuperVision-related technologies. The localization of core technologies, especially Mobileye's road network intelligence technology, is also expected to benefit more of Mobileye's Chinese customers. In addition, the two parties will expand the scope of cooperation to cover the autonomous driving classification from L2+ to L4, and apply Mobileye's next-generation product solutions to more Zeekr models."
