Tesla's Fully Self-Driving (FSD) V9 Beta version update has been delayed for some time. According to foreign media reports, although the new system has not been updated, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been releasing news to fans and car owners. Recently, Elon Musk once again stated that the new version will be coming soon and said that the latest version will be a major update.
Ever since Elon Musk talked about the upcoming FSD Beta v9, owners and potential beta testers have been waiting for the release of the new version. The latest news shows that the new version of FSD will cancel the millimeter-wave radar and adopt pure visual perception while ensuring the safety of FSD. The new version of the software will begin to be pushed in the United States in 2-3 weeks. As for when it will be widely pushed, Musk said it will take 1-2 months, and the specific time is difficult to accurately predict.
Musk said: The new version uses pure visual perception, so Tesla has made much more progress on FSD than it seems. In addition, the FSD subscription system (no need to purchase it permanently in full, but pay monthly) may be available next month, and there is no specific news about the charging standards.
According to Musk, the new version of FSD solves the ghost braking problem of the current version (ghost braking: when the vehicle is driving into a tunnel or in the shadow under a bridge, the vehicle will suddenly brake even if there are no obstacles ahead). The specific performance will have to wait until actual testing to be revealed. If the actual experience is not as amazing as Musk said, then it may be very unfavorable for Tesla. If the performance is even more perfect than it is now, it will be a big step forward for the industry.
