Recently, ProLogium Technology signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOU) with Vietnamese automobile brand VinFast. The two parties will establish a joint venture to jointly accelerate the commercialization of solid-state batteries in Vietnam.

According to the agreement, the JV company will have the priority purchase right of ProLogium's solid-state batteries, and will be authorized for ProLogium's patented solid-state battery pack packaging technology MAB (Multi-Axis Bipolar+), and will be able to take the lead in producing ProLogium's CIM/CIP solid-state battery packs (cell is module/cell is pack) in Vietnam.

To support the operation of the plan, Prologon will be responsible for supplying solid-state battery Inlay (semi-finished products of solid-state battery cells, consisting of positive and negative electrodes and solid electrolytes) produced at its production base. The scale of this production base will reach 1-2GWh by 2022, which is sufficient to support Vinfast's plan to mass-produce solid-state battery vehicles in 2023-2024.

According to corporate planning, Vinfast plans to launch a smart electric SUV model in 2021. By establishing a joint venture with Prologon, Vinfast will be able to use solid-state batteries to develop electric vehicles that are safer, have longer driving range and shorter charging time.

According to data, ProLogium completed the world's first fully automatic solid-state battery trial production line in 2017 and completed the construction of the first Giga-level mass production line in 2020. Currently, ProLogium is continuing to enter into strategic cooperation with global manufacturers and developing and testing solid-state batteries, covering power batteries, ship batteries, aerospace, rail vehicles, AGV and other fields.

In addition to VinFast, ProLogium's solid-state battery technology has previously attracted the attention of many OEMs and battery companies. It has successively signed cooperation agreements with Narada, Skywell Auto, NIO and AIWAYS, reaching a consensus on the licensing of solid-state battery production technology and cooperating around ProLogium's MAB solid-state battery pack and module technology.

It is understood that based on the fully verified solid-state battery cell technology, ProLogium Technology has recently proposed the CIP (cell is pack) technology in the Pack stage, which will be officially launched this year.
