CINNO Research  Industry News, on January 5, Sony Korea's Application and Devices Division announced that it had signed a business agreement (MOU) with Autonomous a2z, a Korean developer of autonomous driving solutions.

The two parties will use Sony's in-vehicle image sensors to conduct field tests of autonomous driving. Autonomous a2z will be responsible for supporting demonstration vehicles equipped with autonomous driving technology and collecting traffic environment data. To this end, a demonstration vehicle equipped with Sony's image sensors will be developed in March this year.

The two companies simultaneously achieved LED flicker suppression and HDR. The goal is to correctly identify objects in strong sunlight, bad weather, etc. A dedicated camera using Sony's pixel technology is at the core of the performance improvement.

"We will apply Sony's advanced image sensors to our autonomous driving cognitive system, which will have world-class autonomous driving technology," said a representative of Autonomous. "Through our cooperation with Sony, we are expected to advance the government's target of 2027 for mass production of autonomous vehicles."

Solar powered LED driver circuit diagram
This figure shows a solar cell powered LED driver applied to an LED emergency flashlight. When the flashlight is off, the LTC3536 is in shutdown mode. Its quiescent current of less than 1μA minimizes the drain on the supercapacitor when ambient light is no longer available. When the LED flashlight is on, the LTC3536
