On January 9, 2024, Dalianda Holdings, a leading international semiconductor component distributor committed to the Asia-Pacific market , announced that its subsidiary Shiping launched a Bluetooth speaker development board solution based on Bluetrum AB5301A.

With the continuous iteration of Bluetooth technology, Bluetooth speakers are becoming more and more popular as a convenient and compact wireless audio device. With its convenient connection method, excellent sound quality and wide compatibility, it can not only bring excellent music experience to consumers, but also serve as the central controller of smart home, realizing the intelligence of home equipment through voice control and remote control. manage. Based on this background, Dalian Shiping launched a Bluetooth speaker development board solution based on Zhongke Lanxun AB5301A microcontroller. This solution can help developers quickly complete the design of Bluetooth speakers and achieve excellent audio performance and wireless connection stability. .

This solution can be divided into multiple components such as power module, audio input module, audio output module, LED display, human-computer interaction, download debugging interface and minimum system. Among them, the main control chip in the smallest system uses the AB5301A cost-effective Bluetooth chip of Zhongke Lanxun. The chip is based on RISC-V 32-bit open source core architecture, has a main frequency of up to 125MHz, and supports BT 5.3 dual-mode Bluetooth. In addition to BLE data transmission, BT can also implement Bluetooth calling functions. Not only that, AB5301A has a maximum built-in Flash space of 8Mbit, supports multiple audio modes such as USB, SD, AUX and MIC, supports 16bit stereo DAC and dual-channel 16bit ADC, and has an IS audio transmission interface, which is suitable for various smart speaker products. .

In addition to the AB5301A product as the core main control, this solution integrates SGMICRO's overvoltage and overcurrent protection chip, boost/step-down chip, Microsource Semiconductor's charging management chip, Winbond's Flash memory products, Awinic’s LED driver chips, ESMT’s audio amplifier chips, and ams OSRAM’s LED products, etc. Thanks to the advanced performance of these products, this solution can accelerate the development of karaoke speakers, desktop speakers, soundbars, subwoofers and other products.

Can support up to 7 audio input modes, such as HDMI, optical fiber mode, etc.;
Supports audio output selection of multiple powers, and the driving voltage can be selected according to the audio output, such as 5V, 24V;
It supports two power supply modes: battery and USB power supply. When USB power supply is provided, it supports overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature protection and charging management.

Supports power switch control, mode switching, volume addition and subtraction, up and down song adjustment, etc. through buttons;
Supports the remote control to send commands, and the IR to receive signals to control the development board functions;
Supports five-pin LED digital tube to display audio input mode;
Supports 9 groups of single-color LED lights to achieve breathing and flickering ambient lighting effects;
Supports audio output from SD card, U disk, HDMI, optical fiber, and Flash;
Support audio input and output of LINE IN & LINE OUT;
Supports 2-way silicon microphone and external electret two optional radio modes;
Realize PA amplification of audio power, with a maximum power output of 25W×2 available;
When powered by USB, the maximum withstand voltage is 7.6V, and the adjustable current range is 1381mA~2105mA;
When powered by batteries, the programmable current is up to 1A, supports reverse battery protection, and constant voltage and constant current automatic thermal adjustment ensures maximum charging efficiency.
