Large matrices all use a unified modular design, which has the following benefits: easy replacement and maintenance; flexible input/output combinations; easy expansion of input/output paths to protect initial investment; and for component video or stereo audio systems, the original paths can be repeated to complete the construction. This advanced design method is adopted by many companies, and the products are also used in many large projects.
Large-scale matrix is usually used as the dispatching center of the whole station or multiple computer rooms. There are many input signal sources, and there may be cables of various models and wire diameters. If all kinds of cables are directly connected to the matrix, the installation will be very inconvenient, and it will not be conducive to maintenance and signal exchange. For this reason, external signals can be connected to the system through the video and audio adapter board.
Since the matrix is the dispatching center, once it is damaged, many computer rooms will be affected. Therefore, jumper boards are set at the input and output ends of the matrix as an emergency measure, so that temporary signal dispatch can be carried out through manual jumpering.
In order to eliminate the potential difference between the external signal and the room where the matrix is located, a video distributor with common mode suppression should generally be selected as the distribution device at the input end of the matrix. In addition, the input signal adapter board should also use a floating adapter.
The master control room should be equipped with an XY control panel with the highest priority, and other rooms only need to be equipped with a BPS control panel. The matrix working status and the scheduling of each room are monitored by the room responsible for managing the matrix scheduling (usually in the master control room), and can be intervened by the XY control panel. For rooms that are not in the same location, the BPS control panel should be installed in a suspended manner.
Large-scale video and audio matrices are powered by dual power supplies, which are highly reliable, but the working indicator light on the power template should still be checked frequently. In addition, the failure of the backup battery in the matrix is often difficult to detect, so more attention should be paid.
Matrix accessory devices such as control panels and status displays are generally connected to the host through a specific bus. When using them, please note that the maximum distance is limited, and you should also pay attention to the termination.
