Integrated circuit detection method
In professional cases, the detection of integrated circuits uses a dedicated integrated circuit tester. If there is no special instrument, a multimeter is often used to make judgments using the following methods.
1. Off-circuit detection
In general, a multimeter can be used to measure the forward and reverse resistance values between each pin corresponding to the ground pin, and compare it with a good integrated circuit or a given table of forward and reverse resistance values of each pin to determine whether the circuit is good or bad.
2. On-circuit detection
A detection method that uses a multimeter to detect the AC and DC voltages, DC resistances and total working currents of each IC pin to the ground when it is in circuit (the IC is connected to the circuit), and compares them with the given correct (reference value) to make judgments.
