In the field of computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) or industrial automation (IA), many control devices have difficulty in long-distance data transmission, poor anti-interference performance, and address judgment is required in the software when multiple lower-level devices are networked. In response to this, we have developed a stepper motor controller based on LAN (Ethernet). The network controls the TCP/IP remote network Stepper motor The controller uses the TCP IP protocol to communicate with the control host (PC), and the operation is stable and reliable. The transmission distance is long (100 meters, and can reach 300 meters through the switch cascade, and even the stepper motor can be controlled remotely through the Internet). Each stepper motor is assigned a unique IP address, and the control data transmission is distinguished by the IP address; the number of stepper motors that can be controlled is large (IP address range: 192.168.1.0~192.168.1.255, a total of up to 255 stepper motors can be driven; the control host (PC) occupies one IP address); the network construction is simple, and wireless LAN can be used in places where wiring is inconvenient.

Sending a string of ASCII code instructions to this TCP/IP remote network motor controller can control the direction, speed, and step amount of the stepper motor, without having to understand the working principle of the stepper motor and the driver. For example: the control host sends "S102" to a controller with a certain IP address through the network, the stepper motor will rotate clockwise at a speed of 102 revolutions per minute, the control host sends "N320" to a controller with a certain IP address through the network, the stepper motor will rotate counterclockwise at a speed of 320 revolutions per minute; the control host sends "S109J" to a controller with a certain IP address through the network, the stepper motor will step 109 steps clockwise, and the control host sends "N1060J" to a controller with a certain IP address through the network, the stepper motor will step 1060 steps counterclockwise. It is used for precision speed control, precision motion control, precision machining, etc., with extremely high control accuracy, speed error <0.01 rpm, output drive motor pulse frequency error <0.1HZ, single step minimum 1HZ fine adjustment. We can also customize higher precision control boards as required. We also provide VB software to control stepper motors through WINSOCK for large quantities.
