Using 3DD25 transistor to make photosensitive tube
Electronic enthusiasts often use phototransistors, or photosensitive tubes for short, when making photoelectric controllers or devices. Here, we introduce a self-made high-current photosensitive tube with a darkroom.
This uses a high-power NPN amateur (or inferior) transistor, such as 3DD15, etc., and requires its V (BR) ≥ 51V, but the larger the β value, the better. Remove the top of the tube cap carefully with a file, taking care not to damage the tube core, but to expose the tube core. Solder three appropriately long, different-colored soft plastic-coated wires to the three poles of the transistor to distinguish the three different poles. Then find a damaged pull-wire switch, remove the metal parts and pull wires inside, leaving only the bakelite part. Fix the above-made photosensitive tube with a φ3 stud nut. You can use the original screw holes on the bakelite box to make the original transistor's feet (base and emitter) fall exactly into the middle large hole, and the three wires are inserted from the original pull wire inclined hole. In this way, a high-current photosensitive tube with a darkroom is made. The original pull box is screwed on, and the darkroom is inside, and the photosensitive tube is not exposed to light. When not in use, in order not to damage the tube core of 3DD15, the pull box can be screwed on. Because of the ICM-5A of 3DD15, it can withstand large currents and will not be damaged during use. When making a photosensitive tube, it is best to use the e-c junction of 3DD15, which has higher sensitivity, but the c pole must be connected to a high potential, and the e pole to the negative pole of the power supply (i.e., the ground wire). The top surface of the tube that has been filed off becomes the incident port of the photosensitive tube, and it must be aligned to control the light.
