01Project Introduction

With the increasing busyness of urban traffic, the demand for standardized and precise management of the taxi industry has become increasingly prominent. Taxi timers came into being as a product of this demand. This design uses a 51 single-chip microcomputer as the control core of the taxi timer, which is divided into a main control module and an execution module to realize functions such as trip timing, fee calculation, mileage display, and ticket printing. In the hardware part, the use of high-precision clock chips, GPS positioning modules, thermal printers, and digital tube displays can not only achieve precise timing and positioning to ensure the accuracy of the data, but also have high stability, strong adaptability, and low maintenance costs. In the software part, a top-down structured programming idea is adopted to promote the system to develop in the direction of intelligence and efficiency. The test results show that all the functions of this system have met the design expectations.

This circuit uses 89S51 microcontroller as the core, and cleverly matches A44E Hall sensor for accurate distance measurement, thereby achieving accurate statistics of taxi fares. With the help of AT24C02, a key device, it can effectively save important information such as unit price and system time in the special case of system power failure. Its output part uses a clear and intuitive 8-segment digital display tube.

The meter designed by this circuit can not only perform the basic metering function well, but also flexibly adjust the unit price according to the specific conditions of different time periods during the day and night and waiting in the middle of the journey, which fully reflects its intelligent and humanized design concept. In addition, in the leisure time when the meter is not charged, it can also transform itself into a clock, providing great convenience for the driver and greatly improving the efficiency and service quality of taxi operation.

A44E Hall sensor is a sensor based on the Hall effect, which has the following characteristics: Working principle: A44E Hall sensor detects the position, speed and other information of an object by measuring the change of the magnetic field. When the magnetic field changes, the Hall element inside the sensor will generate a voltage signal, which is proportional to the strength of the magnetic field. Application field: A44E Hall sensor is widely used in taxi meters, automotive industry, displacement detection and other fields. In taxi meters, it can measure mileage by detecting the rotation of the wheels; in the automotive industry, it can be used to detect engine speed, vehicle speed, etc.; in displacement detection, it can measure the displacement of objects. - Advantages: A44E Hall sensor has the advantages of strong structure, small size, light weight, long life, easy installation, low power consumption, high frequency, vibration resistance, and no fear of pollution or corrosion from dust, oil, water vapor and salt spray. - Classification: Hall sensors are divided into linear Hall sensors and switch Hall sensors.
