The WBZ451 Curiosity development board provides engineers with an efficient and versatile development platform for prototyping wireless lighting, industrial automation, smart home and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.
The Microchip Technology WBZ451 Curiosity Development Board available from Mouser is designed to prototype and functionally demonstrate Microchip's WBZ451PE Bluetooth Low Energy and Zigbee® RF module. The WBZ451PE module is integrated on this development board and its signals can be easily accessed through on-board functionality. The WBZ451 Curiosity development board comes pre-configured with an out-of-the-box multi-protocol demonstration application including temperature sensor, current measurement head and RGB LED.
The WBZ451 Curiosit development board provides integrated programming and debugging capabilities using the PICkit™ Onboard 4 (PKOB4) debugger interface, which requires only a micro-USB cable to power and program the board. The WBZ451 Curiosity Board also includes a mikroBUS™ Click™ header to help users expand functionality by connecting to a variety of MikroElectronika, mikroBUS™ click boards™.
The PIC32CX-BZ2 and WBZ45 series are low-cost 32-bit general-purpose MCUs and modules for wireless applications. PIC32CX-BZ2 MCUs support multi-protocol wireless interfaces (Bluetooth and Zigbee) and feature hardware-based security accelerators, transceivers and power management units (PMUs). The RF certified WBZ45 module integrates a PIC32CX-BZ2 wireless MCU with a PCB or u.FL connector for an external antenna.
