Application Scenario
The GPRS module uses AIR202/AIR208, and the power supply solution is JW5033;
The single chip microcomputer uses Nuvoton N76E003, dual serial ports, 18K flash, and the power supply shares a 5V input power supply with the GPRS DCDC, namely JW5033.
Problem Description
When GPRS is connected to the network or after the network is successfully connected, the data sent and received will be reset and restarted by the Nuvoton MCU.
troubleshooting
1. Add capacitor before the microcontroller power supply
The initial suspicion was insufficient power supply. After using an oscilloscope to observe, this reason was ruled out. If it was really insufficient power supply, the GPRS module should also restart at the same time. In fact, the GPRS module has been working normally when the microcontroller module is restarted.
2. Set the MCU P2.0 pin to input mode instead of reset mode
After changing the P2.0 pin from a reset pin to an input pin, the fault was eliminated. My understanding is that after changing it to an input pin, the RF interference is not enough to cause the microcontroller to reset. The deeper reason is unknown.
