Problem Description

After installing MPLAB IDE, you can use it to debug your own PIC32 board for application development.

Development Boards

I have a Microchip PIC32 Ethernet Starter Kit II board on hand. This board has an integrated debugger for PIC32, so I can debug it by connecting it to the board via a USB cable:

Connect the PIC32 Ethernet Starter Kit II to the laptop using the USB mini interface. You can see a new device in the device manager. The HID-compliant device is:

Program Download

The program is compiled and linked first, then downloaded to the chip:

When you download for the first time, you need to select the hardware tool. Select the hardware with the serial number under the Starter Kit (the serial number should be automatically obtained after connecting the hardware for identification):

Write the picture description here

After waiting for the program to be downloaded, the corresponding actions will be executed on the hardware circuit board, and the Debug function can also be used for debugging.

Microchip's urinary nature, MPLAB Win32 Classic version stopped updating after the bug
I am used to using the classic MPLAB for 8-bit development. I have tried the new MPLAB X, which is very powerful, but the user experience is very painful and slow. It takes four or five times longer to compile a 4k hex file. I won't say more. You know how slow things developed on the Java platform are. MPLAB version
