The DF40/DF40T series is a board-to-board/board-to-FPC connector that supports stacking heights of 1.5mm to 7.0mm in 0.5mm increments and can support up to 120 pins. Its main feature is that the plug is universal in the stacking height range of 1.5 to 4mm and 4.5 to 7mm. Therefore, if the customer's device specifications change, only the socket needs to be replaced within this range.

The DF40/DF40T series is compact and supports high-speed transmission. Since its development in 2006, it has expanded many options centered on height and number of cores and has been applied to various product designs and has been well received by customers.

For example, they can be used in wearables and computers in consumer devices, as well as sensors, motors, and embedded computers in industrial equipment.

This series of connectors also has a heat-resistant option of 125°C and has been used in automotive sensor devices, advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) equipment and infotainment systems.

■Designed to flexibly handle sudden changes in height

Since the plug is universal in the stacking height range of 1.5~4mm and 4.5~7mm, even if the height changes suddenly, the design can be flexibly adjusted to match the required height by replacing the socket.

■Small and narrow pitch design saves space

The DF40/DF40T series connectors have a depth of only 3.38 mm and a pitch of only 0.4 mm, which can save space, achieve miniaturization of various devices, and effectively utilize limited space.

■Support the latest high-speed transmission standards

The DF40 series supports USB4 Gen 2 (20Gbps), and the DF40T series supports PCI Express 4.0 (16Gbps) for automotive applications. You can choose the appropriate product from these series based on the high-speed transmission standard you need.

■Achieve high contact reliability and robustness

It has a large effective mating length (0.45mm) to ensure high connection reliability. As a result, the connector provides a stable connection despite its low profile. It is also equipped with vibration-damping ribs to absorb stress during impact.
