Hi everyone! My name is Ethan and I'm one of the 10 developers working on Peregrine. This post will go over some of the updates we've recently added to Peregrine.
If you know Python, you know how easy it is. However, it also comes with a big downgrade. Python is slow, I'm pretty sure every Python developer knows this by now. It's kind of annoying. That's where Peregrine comes in. For the past few months myself and 8 other friends have been working on Peregrine. Peregines syntax is very similar to Python and it is decompiled to C, making it as fast as C. Below I have written 2 programs, one in Peregrine and one in Python.

The point is, Python is also very fast after being compiled. It is a compiled language. Is its speed comparable to that of an interpreted language?
