October 2024, Shanghai, China – Recently, MR Reinhausen Group (hereinafter referred to as MR), a global expert in transformer control, and TBEA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as TBEA) continued their cooperation and successfully deployed key equipment in the Saudi PIF3 photovoltaic project.

MR and TBEA have a long history of cooperation, with footprints in many countries including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Mozambique, and have jointly promoted many cooperation projects. The PIF3 project is the largest photovoltaic construction project in Saudi Arabia to date and a milestone in Saudi Arabia's energy transformation. MR not only provided customized switches for the project, but also equipped 10 advanced DGA9 gas monitoring devices and ETOS® customized digital solutions, providing a solid guarantee for the stable operation of the PIF3 project.


This series of innovative measures not only demonstrates MR's profound strength in the field of smart grid equipment, but also lays a solid foundation for the smooth implementation and long-term stable operation of the PIF3 project, and jointly sets a new benchmark for strategic cooperation.


Identify the needs and achieve multi-level extension under the green vision


The Saudi PIF3 project is located in central Saudi Arabia, with a total installed capacity of 3,400MW. It is a solid step taken by the Saudi government to achieve the energy transformation and sustainable development strategy proposed in the "Vision 2030".

In response to the unique construction environment challenges and operation and maintenance management needs of the PIF3 project, MR worked closely with TBEA to develop and launch a series of customized solutions. Among them, MR's DGA9 gas monitoring system uses advanced near-infrared spectroscopy technology to achieve real-time monitoring of 9 gases and trace water. With its compact design and single-valve installation method, it helps customers simplify transformer and civil engineering design. At the same time, at this important moment when the global transformer is advancing in intelligence, MR listened in depth to customer needs, especially focusing with TBEA on the problems that customers urgently need to solve in the aspects of maintenance-free, real-time monitoring, and cost control. In particular, the ETOS® customized digital solution that MR carefully launched for customers has realized the transformation and upgrading of transformer digitalization, comprehensive real-time monitoring, and improved the intelligence level of equipment operation, providing a strong guarantee for the long-term stable operation of the project and meeting the Saudi market's demand for smart grid equipment.

In the PIF3 project, MR and TBEA not only demonstrated their strong technical innovation capabilities, but also successfully solved many industry problems. MR and TBEA each showed their strengths and jointly promoted the intelligentization of transformers, providing transformer accessories with excellent dustproof and high temperature resistance, ensuring the stable operation of equipment in extreme environments.

With its one-stop system solution, MR and TBEA successfully overcame difficulties such as long supply cycles, high technical specifications, and coordination of multiple suppliers by optimizing supply chain management. MR 's expert team pre-scheduled production during the project bidding stage to ensure the timely supply of switches.
