Nidec Corporation's group company,
Nidec Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), will start mass production of harmonic reducers at its factory in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province, China in October 24. The harmonic reducers are mainly installed in the joints of robots, and this is the first time that they have been mass-produced in China.
The Company aims to strengthen production and sales synergy, and in China's huge robot market, using the proprietary technology accumulated over the years, to provide harmonic reducers that meet market demand for the rapidly developing Chinese robot manufacturers in a "local production, local consumption" manner.
The company's goal is to build a production system with a monthly output of 10,000 units by the end of 2024 and 20,000 units per month in the summer of 25 to meet China's growing market demand for robots.

(2) Building area: (Land) 13,210 square meters (Building) 8,171.96 square meters
(3) Number of floors: Bungalow
(4) Planned investment amount: production equipment, building reconstruction, safety system, etc.
Total amount 5 billion yen
(5) Production capacity: A dedicated factory for the production of harmonic reducers for robot joints
By the end of 2024 10,000 units/month
Summer 2025 20,000 units/month
Harmonic reducer: The gears of this reducer (a mechanical component that amplifies input torque) are deformed into an elliptical shape while meshing with a steel wheel, eliminating gear backlash, achieving high-precision rotation performance, high-precision positioning, and weight reduction and compactness.
