June 19, 2024 – Mouser Electronics, an authorized global distributor of electronic components and industrial automation products focused on new product introduction, is now shipping the AMD/Xilinx Kria™ K24 modular system (SOM) . The K24 SOM uses a custom cost-optimized Zynq™ UltraScale+™ MPSoC device that is about half the size of a credit card and provides the right power, cost, and performance for DSP-based industrial applications such as motor control, medical devices, sensor fusion, multi-axis robotics, factory automation, and more.
The AMD/Xilinx Kria™ K24 SOM, available from Mouser Electronics, is a new member of the Kria™ SOM family and is available in both commercial and industrial grades. It provides users with 132 I/O interfaces for connecting up to three medium-sized BLDC motors with encoders and connecting to TSN-enabled networks through four 1G Ethernet interfaces (2 PS GEMs, 2 PL GEMs). The K24 SOM is a highly scalable platform with many possible end applications and the ability to scale to changing system requirements. The product also provides enhanced security features through the hardware root of trust of the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and a discrete TPM 2.0 device. The K24 SOM provides flexible hardware and software to ensure compatibility with future standards and sensor requirements, and connector compatibility allows for easy customization without modifying the PCB.
Embedded software developers who lack FPGA expertise can get easy-to-use support from the KD240 Drive Starter Kit, which is an out-of-the-box development platform that supports multiple development environments (including Python, MATLAB® Simulink® environments, etc.) and provides pre-built acceleration applications.
As an authorized global distributor, Mouser Electronics stocks a wide range of semiconductors and electronic components Ready to Ship™. Mouser aims to provide customers with fully certified original products and provide full manufacturer traceability. To help customers accelerate their designs, Mouser's website provides a rich technical resource library, including a technical resource center, product data sheets, supplier-specific reference designs, application notes, technical design information, design tools, and other useful information.
