MQTT protocol sets new standards for connectivity and security of Softing Industrial Security Integrated Servers

Softing Industrial’s Secure Integration Server (SIS) now supports the MQTT protocol, which improves connectivity and security for data integration in IT/OT cloud applications.

Softing Industrial's Security Integrated Server (SIS) provides a structured solution for complex server architectures. It combines various OPC UA servers at the automation level with their associated address spaces. This enables standardized mapping of these address spaces according to the OPC UA supporting specifications. Data provided in this way can be used in IoT cloud applications via standardized OPC UA interfaces.

The latest version of SIS (V1.30) integrates the MQTT protocol (versions 3 and 5), which makes data integration more secure and flexible. Its significant advantages include:

√ MQTT publisher and subscriber: realize two-way data communication and improve communication efficiency.

√ MQTT Authentication Settings: Ensure security and authentication between clients and brokers through various authentication methods such as anonymous, username or certificate.

√ MQTT storage and forwarding function: prevent data loss.

√ Multiple publishing modes and "dynamic payload": ensure high flexibility to meet different data requirements.

√ Up to 25 MQTT connections: ensures seamless communication and provides a scalable solution.
