Bourns® SW miniature thermal protector (TCO) devices are designed to provide over-temperature protection for low current applications and can be used as over-temperature sensors.

The Bourns® SW miniature circuit breaker measures 4.7 mm x 2.8 mm and is only 0.94 mm high. Bourns® SW miniature circuit breakers are designed to instantly control abnormal and excessive temperatures within rated limits. They are widely used for over-temperature protection in many applications such as LED systems, wireless charging coils, motors, and various printed circuit board assemblies. An ideal solution, this new miniature circuit breaker can also be used as an over-temperature sensor.

Bourns® SW Miniature Circuit Breakers


Bourns' new SW miniature circuit breakers complement the latest SD series with features and functions to meet the requirements of lower current protection applications, offering a triggering temperature setting of 70 C ±5 C and a maximum resistance of 5 m. For wireless charging applications, Bourns® SW can operate up to a peak voltage of 100 V (AC 128 kHz). This model is manufactured using Bourns' highest level of corrosion-resistant bimetallic mechanism and is designed to withstand wet environments.


The new Bourns® SW miniature circuit breakers are now available, and the entire range is RoHS* compliant*.
