February 9, 2022 – Mouser Electronics, an authorized global semiconductor and electronic component distributor focused on New Product Introduction (NPI), is now stocking InnoSwitch™3-PD ICs from Power Integrations, an innovative family of products that provide engineers with highly integrated solutions for USB Type-C, USB Power Delivery (PD), and USB Programmable Power Supply (PPS) adapters for laptops, tablets, mobile phones, and more.

The Power Integrations InnoSwitch3-PD IC, available from Mouser Electronics, combines the primary switch with the controller, isolated feedback, secondary control, and USB-PD controller functions into a single compact package. Power Integrations’ patented PowiGaN™ technology enables the IC’s real-time telemetry power status and fault monitoring capabilities to be combined with the Power Integrations FluxLink™ high-speed communication feedback link for fast, accurate secondary-side regulation.

InnoSwitch3-PD ICs have low heat dissipation and do not require bulky heat sinks, thus reducing the number of components. At the same time, they also have comprehensive protection functions, including voltage monitoring, accurate voltage ramp-up/sag protection, and independently configurable output overvoltage and undervoltage fault monitoring.

Mouser also stocks the Power Integrations RDK-838 reference design kit that supports the InnoSwitch3-PD IC. The kit uses an onboard InnoSwitch3-PD IC to implement a 60W USB PD 3.0 power supply with a 3.3V to 21V PPS output.
