Regarding the oscilloscope settings or data storage function, many people seem to understand but not understand it. They want to perform secondary analysis on the measured data but have no way to start. Storage has thus staged a classic scene where the pipa is half-covered. Next, let us Come and unveil its mysterious veil, so that saving files will no longer be a problem for you.
The storage of an oscilloscope literally means to store the required waveform information in different formats so that we can do more in-depth analysis. The storage includes the following aspects:
Storage types: settings files, binary data, CSV data, image formats (BMP images, JPG images, PNG images, grayscale images);
Storage methods: [Print Screen] (one-click storage), [Save/Recall] (storage), PC online screenshots, and ScopeReport TM;
Storage path: local flash memory and external memory (just connect the U disk to the USB port of the oscilloscope).
1. [Print Screen] (one-click storage)
[Print Screen] One-key storage function, which belongs to the oscilloscope's 7 one-key shortcut operations. The blue operation keys are easy to identify and easy to operate. You only need one key to save the content currently displayed on the screen in the format of "*.png" image. Save, the save path can be set in advance, and can be saved in local flash memory or external memory U disk. The content stored with one click will be automatically named and saved in the save path, usually starting with dso. Engineers can save multiple files to a USB flash drive at the same time and then view and analyze them on a PC.
2. [Save/Recall] (storage)
Through the [Save/Recall] button on the menu interface, you can enter the storage interface to set storage information.
The storage formats supported by Puyuan oscilloscope include:
Setting file: Save the oscilloscope's setting information to facilitate the next use by engineers and avoid the trouble of resetting; it is stored in local flash memory and external memory U disk in "*.stp" format, and can import/export any oscilloscope settings.
Binary data: When engineers need to conduct in-depth analysis of waveform data, they can save it as a binary file. It will select the binary one-dimensional raw data of the channel and save it to the local flash memory and external memory U disk in the "*.wfm" format. Supports import and can store big data. The binary files can be converted into CSV files and can be opened with Excel, Access or text files. For the conversion software, you can enter the web page http://www.zlg.cn/OSC/ and click [Firmware and Tools] to download.
CSV data: The second way to save data files. It will save the waveform data displayed on the screen or the specified channel, and save it to local flash memory and external memory U disk in the "*.csv" format. It is a comma-separated value file format. , its file stores tabular data in the form of plain text. It converts the required binary data into ASCII code and saves it as ASCII code data. It can be opened with Excel, Access or text files.
The CSV data file of the ZDS2000 series oscilloscope contains information such as device information, horizontal gear, horizontal offset, etc.
Image format: Screen images can be saved in different image formats, such as BMP images, JPG images, PNG images, and grayscale images.
You can delete original files or copy existing files under the storage path. For binary files and CSV files, the [Data Length] in [Storage Settings] can select [Memory] or [Screen] options. Under the automatic storage depth setting, [Screen] waveform data and [Memory] waveform data are the same.
Note: All files can be copied and pasted to a local or external storage USB flash drive through the copy and paste functions.
3. PC online screenshots
PC online screenshots are a quick way to save screenshots. The image files can be saved directly in the PC without a USB flash drive, that is, in the "*.bmp" format and saved in the corresponding installation file path of the PC. This method It only needs to be connected to the PC through a USB cable (LAN or serial cable) and it can be used.
4. ScopeReportTM
The ScopeReport TM function can "package" all protocol decoding and FFT spectrum analysis results, automatically generate reports in html or csv file format, and save them in local flash memory and external memory USB drives. Users can view them in the form of reports. ;
Take FFT analysis as an example. When the analysis results come out, in the [Stop] state, click [Export Report] under the FFT menu to export.
Through Antai Test’s summary and summary of the storage methods of Puyuan oscilloscopes, I believe that everyone has a more detailed understanding of storage. During use, you can choose the corresponding storage method according to your own needs and habits, and conduct data analysis more efficiently. .
