Keysight Technologies and Source Photonics Demonstrate Single-Wavelength 200G PAM4 EML Laser Performance


From March 6 to 9, 2023, Keysight Technologies, Inc. participated in the 48th OFC held in California, USA, an annual large-scale international conference and exhibition for optical communication professionals.


Keysight Technologies and Source Photonics collaborated to demonstrate the performance test of single-wavelength 200G PAM4 EML at booth 3029 at OFC2023. Keysight Technologies helped Source Photonics launch a single-wavelength 200G PAM4 EML laser that represents excellent performance. This type of product is a key core component for realizing 1.6T pluggable optical modules. This test was based on a test platform built with Keysight Technologies' M8199A arbitrary waveform generator and DCA-X N1032A sampling oscilloscope (Figure 1). The platform can provide 200Gb/s PAM4 signals and test the signal's optoelectronic eye diagram. Source Photonics' single-wavelength 200G PAM4 EML showed excellent optical eye diagram characteristics in this joint test (Figure 2), laying a solid foundation for the smooth development of subsequent 1.6T optical modules.
