The Versal AI Edge VEK280 Evaluation Kit uses the AMD Versal AI Edge VE2802 Adaptive SoC, and the series of kits can help developers quickly iterate their sensor fusion and AI algorithms for machine learning (ML) inference applications in industrial, vision, healthcare, automotive, and scientific fields.

AMD Versal AI Edge VEK280 Kit Enables evaluation and development of applications based on the Versal™ AI Edge family of products. The kit provides a variety of high-speed connectivity options and hardware acceleration engines for AI Engine Machine Learning (AIE-ML) and DSP. The VEK280 evaluation board uses a scalable combination of devices with reduced latency, enhanced computing performance, and increased integration of advanced sensor fusion and AI algorithms to meet a variety of performance and power requirements from edge to endpoint. The evaluation board is equipped with 12GB, 192-bit (6x 2GB, 32-bit) LPDDR4 components and an integrated video decoder unit that supports H.264/H.265 and HDMI 2.1 video input and output. The VEK280 is not intended for production and does not require full reliability and production certification.
