Melexis 's pressure conditioning chip MLX90328 dominates the automotive electronic pressure sensor interface chip market due to its high PPM, online programming, and built-in temperature compensation . Currently, there are mainly DBA version and CBA version. MLX90328DBA is a mass production version, released at the end of last year. Compared with the CBA version, the EMC performance is slightly improved. The two are pin-to-pin compatible and do not require any changes. However, the MLX90328 DBA version can only be calibrated with the latest MLX90330DB UI software, and the MLX90328AA UI software cannot be calibrated. This article mainly talks about the calibration of MLX90328 DBA.
1. Install the MLX90330DB UI software.
2. In Product, select “MLX90328”.
MLX90330DB UI is a 4-in-1 software that can calibrate MLX90328, MLX90329, MLX90821 and MLX90817.
3. Different from the MLX90328AA UI, the Calibration settings of the MLX90330DB UI have added Bridge resistance, Tadc gain scaling, and Tadc offset scaling;
This is used for temperature compensation settings.
The MLX90328 has two methods for compensating the temperature-pressure signal, one is using the UI temperature reference, the second is estimating it through the Wheatstone bridge current consumption.
The newly added Bridge resistance, Tadc gain scaling, and Tadc offset scaling are used for the second method. If the first method is used, directly click "Tpress Internal" and the settings in Bridge resistance, Tadc gain scaling, and Tadc offset scaling will not take effect.
This method is also used when using the MLX90328AA UI, and "Tpress Internal" is selected by default.
4. The rest of the settings are the same as MLX90328AA UI.
