Chongqing reveals its ambition for the integrated circuit industry!

The Sixth Plenary Session of the Fifth Chongqing Municipal Party Committee proposed to further promote scientific and technological innovation led by big data intelligence, consolidate and enhance the entire industrial chain of "chips, screens, devices, cores and networks", and build a trillion-level intelligent industrial cluster. Two major integrated circuit projects started construction

Before the entire industry chain launched investment promotion, two major integrated circuit projects in Chongqing were started one after another, namely a project with an annual output of 5,735 tons of electronic gas and a project with an annual output of 65 million semiconductor chips.

Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology introduced that the annual output of 5,735 tons of electronic gas project was invested by Euro-China Electronic Materials Co., Ltd. with 500 million yuan. It mainly produces electronic grade tungsten hexafluoride, electronic grade boron trichloride, electronic grade hexafluorobutadiene and other electronic grade gas products, which are mainly used in semiconductor chip manufacturing. The project started construction in February this year and was completed in December 2019, which can achieve annual sales revenue of 350 million yuan and comprehensive tax revenue of 8.8 million yuan.

In addition, Chongqing Enrui Industrial Co., Ltd. invested 1.5 billion yuan to build a semiconductor chip project with an annual output of 65 million chips. The chips will be mainly used in the manufacture of motherboards for electronic technology products such as computers, mobile phones, automobiles, and drones. The project started construction in January this year and is expected to be completed in November this year. It is planned that full-load production can achieve sales revenue of 500 million yuan.

Tsinghua Unigroup settles multiple projects in Chongqing

Shortly after the two projects started, on April 18, the Chongqing building of Tsinghua Unigroup, a leading large-scale integrated circuit enterprise in China and the world's third largest mobile phone chip design enterprise, was officially put into use. On the day of the opening, signing activities for the Tsinghua Digital Factory Project, Tsinghua Digital Chongqing Project, and strategic cooperation units were held. One of the most important industrial projects since Chongqing became a municipality directly under the central government has made many new progress.

On February 12 last year, the Chongqing Municipal Government and Tsinghua Unigroup signed a strategic cooperation agreement and a landing agreement for entering Liangjiang New Area.
