IP2320 is a boost charging chip that supports two cells in series. IP2320 integrates power MOS and adopts synchronous switch charging. It has less peripheral BOM and low cost. It has 5V input synchronous boost charging, constant voltage charging voltage with adjustable external resistance, and constant current charging current. The external resistance is adjustable, supports NTC temperature protection, 400KHZ frequency, can support 2.2UH inductor, output overvoltage protection, IC temperature protection, input and output pin voltage resistance 20V, ESD4KV,
charging process
IP2320 adopts complete CC/CV charging mode
. When the voltage of the two-cell battery is less than 6V, the battery is charged with a fixed current of 100mA.
When the battery voltage is greater than 6V, the battery is charged with a constant current ICC;
the constant current charging current can be customized.
When the battery voltage is close to the set VTRGT, it enters constant voltage charging mode.
After entering the constant voltage mode, if the charging current is less than 100mA, charging will be stopped and the battery voltage will be detected to see if it is higher than the charging voltage. If it is higher than the charging voltage, charging will be stopped. If it is lower than the charging voltage, charging will continue.
After the battery is fully charged and the input continues to exist, if the battery voltage is less than VTRGT-0.2V, charging will be started again.
Charging protection
IP2320 has complete protection functions, integrating input under-voltage and over-voltage protection, NTC temperature protection, and IC over-voltage protection. Temperature protection and other functions ensure stable and reliable operation
of the system .
IP2320 has an input VIN input voltage regulation loop. When it detects that the input voltage is close to the undervoltage threshold of 4.5V, it will automatically adjust and reduce the charging
current to ensure that the input voltage is stable near the input undervoltage threshold and ensure that the adapter will not be pulled.
IP2320 integrates an input overvoltage protection function. When the input voltage is detected to be greater than the overvoltage threshold of 5.80V, charging will be stopped.
IP2320 integrates an NTC function, and with an NTC resistor, the battery temperature can be detected. When the battery temperature is detected to be too high or too high, After the temperature is low, charging
can be stopped;
IP2320 integrates an over-temperature protection function, which will forcefully stop charging when it detects that the internal temperature of the chip exceeds 135 degrees.
