WeChat fully opens up the "Original Statement" and "Leave a Message" functions, and plagiarism accounts can no longer take advantage of loopholes

Leifeng.com reported on December 6 that the WeChat public platform has just released an announcement stating that starting today (6th), the WeChat public platform will fully open the "Original Statement" and "Message" functions. All public accounts can use these two functions to protect their original articles and avoid infringement.

According to the announcement, "independently created articles", "content with exclusive authorization", and "all pictures or videos are original" can be marked as "original", while other contents such as "plagiarized content", "integrated content", "quoted content", "public content", "non-exclusively authorized content", "translated content", "marketing content" and "illegal and illegal" content such as suspected pornography and violence cannot be marked as original.

The platform also stated in the announcement that if a public account violates the rules by using the "original" label, its original ability will be temporarily closed for 7 days for the first violation, and malicious confrontation with the platform will result in a short blockage of more than 15 days. In serious cases, the blockage period will be increased based on the degree of malice.

If users find a public account that violates the regulations by using the "original" label, they can find the reporting entrance in the lower right corner of the corresponding public account article - click "Complaint" - select "Illegal Original Statement" on the complaint page to report the illegal content.

Through this, those public account owners who have been severely harmed by "plagiarism accounts" can further protect their original articles.

Articles that can be marked as "original":

1. Independently created articles: "Independent creation" means that the author is the producer of the content, rather than a porter, editor, translator, etc.

2. Exclusively authorized content: "Exclusive authorization" means that you and only you are qualified to use the fruits of others' labor.

3. All pictures or videos are original: After obtaining the qualification for the original internal test of pictures or videos, the "original" label can also be applied to the creation of pictures and videos.

Articles that cannot be marked as “original”:

1. Plagiarizing content: Plagiarizing other people’s content by simply copying and pasting.

2. Integrate content: organize and piece together other people’s content. For example, the content is “The most beautiful poems from A Dream of Red Mansions”.

3. Quoted content: Quoting other people’s works at length, such as “Mr. Zhu Ziqing said in “Back View”: … (large passage omitted here) The whole text ends.”

4. Public content: information shared by the public, such as "laws, regulations, resolutions, decisions, orders of state organs and other documents of a legislative, administrative and judicial nature, current news, calendars, general tables, tables and formulas", etc. For example, the content of speeches at important meetings, major news reports, etc.

5. Non-exclusive authorized content: Content that is not explicitly authorized is not exclusive, such as reposting other people’s interviews.

6. Translated content: Translated content that has not been authorized by the author cannot be labeled as "original".

7. Marketing content: The content mainly promotes and sells product information.

8. Illegal and irregular content: Content involving pornography, violence, false information, etc., or violating relevant policies and regulations.
