Three new Snapdragon 632, 439, and 429 products are unveiled, and AI functions will also be popularized in mid- and low-end mobile phones

Qualcomm's flagship processor has always been sought after by many mobile phone manufacturers, but a month ago, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 710, which is slightly lower than the flagship product. Now, we see that Qualcomm is further strengthening its competitiveness in the mid-to-low-end market. According to Leifeng.com, Qualcomm recently announced the launch of three new products at the Snapdragon 600 and 400 levels - Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 mobile platforms. The newly launched platforms will be improved in performance, battery life, graphics and artificial intelligence functions.
According to Leifeng.com, global OEM manufacturers have released more than 1,350 commercial terminals based on the Snapdragon 600 series mobile platform, and more than 2,300 commercial terminals based on the Snapdragon 400 series mobile platform.
Snapdragon 632
The Snapdragon 632 is the successor to the Snapdragon 630. It uses a FinFET process and can achieve a 40% performance improvement through the combination of the Kryo 250 CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. Photography enthusiasts can also benefit from its support for a 24-megapixel single camera or dual cameras with 13 megapixels each, while its display resolution can be increased to FHD+. In addition, in terms of cellular networks, the Snapdragon 632 integrates the X9 LTE modem and supports LTE Advanced technologies such as carrier aggregation.
Snapdragon 632 continues the low-to-medium positioning of the 600 series, but for the first time introduces a large core into this price range, which means that the performance of Snapdragon 632 will be improved, and the mobile experience it can provide includes mainstream game support, 4K video shooting, AI and ultra-fast LTE, and it continues to have a suitable price.
Snapdragon 439 and Snapdragon 429

Both mobile platforms offer popular features for price-sensitive mass-market consumers and support AI features to enhance the camera, voice and security experience.
It is worth noting that the new low-end products also use the FinFET manufacturing process. Although Qualcomm did not specify which process was used, Leifeng.com (official account: Leifeng.com) believes that this marks that Qualcomm has completed the comprehensive transformation of its entire mobile SoC product line to FinFET products.
It is also known that the Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 are software compatible with each other, and are also compatible with the Snapdragon 626, 625 and 450. The Snapdragon 439 and 429 are pin-compatible and software-compatible. Software compatibility means that OEMs can reduce resource investment and accelerate the launch of devices. Pin compatibility also allows OEMs to update their devices with new chips, bringing performance improvements.
Qualcomm said that commercial terminals equipped with Snapdragon 632, 439 and 429 are expected to be launched in the second half of this year.
