Complete 8,000 kilometers of travel with me and have a gorgeous encounter at electronica 2018
It is said that the most popular place in the world for the electronics industry these days is Munich, Germany.
The biennial Munich Electronics Show is in full swing!
More than 3,000 companies from over 50 countries around the world attended the exhibition, and the top products and solutions gave you a glimpse into the future.
Such a grand event must not be without ADI!
There were 35 live demonstrations covering more than ten key areas including industrial automation, mobile devices, instrumentation, measurement, energy, power supply, healthcare and consumer electronics. The exhibits and demonstrations at the ADI booth were full of future technology elements.
Please join me in traveling 8,000 kilometers and have a gorgeous encounter with ADI in Munich.
Automotive
The largest and heaviest part of an electric vehicle chassis is its battery pack. For example, Tesla's battery pack is about 100 kWh, which is very large. Wireless BMS provides a good solution to this problem. The figure below shows the world's first Wireless BMS prototype car based on DUST Networks.
Due to the ultra-high reliability of DUST Networks, the battery packs in electric vehicles can be designed with SmartMesh networks, replacing all connectors and implementing wireless BMS applications. This not only saves connection and assembly costs and reduces vehicle weight, but also improves reliability and the efficiency of the entire system.
Fatigue driving is an important factor leading to major casualties. How can we combine cockpit technology to monitor and analyze fatigue driving? ADI demonstrated how it cooperated with BSecur to develop ECG-based biometric recognition and driver health analysis solutions, as well as how 3D depth measurement technology, time-of-flight cameras, and machine learning software can enhance driver safety and driving experience.
In addition , ADI's dedicated automotive camera link technology C²B (Car Camera Bus) provides low-latency HD quality video in the lowest cost infrastructure. C²B uses proven low-cost UTP cables for HD video transmission, laying the foundation for automotive camera applications.
Industrial field
The following figure shows
the
full network motion control synchronization
solution for industrial automation. The demo demonstrates
how real-time, multi-protocol network switching technology and ADI's mixed-signal motion control signal processing solutions can be used in industrial servo and robotics applications.
Building Automation
In the field of building automation, one of the
gas detection reference designs integrating ADuCM355
has attracted much attention. This is a new chemical sensor interface solution designed specifically for gas detection applications, which provides many features and advantages, such as a 50% smaller solution size and sensor health self-diagnosis, and can also extend the service life of the sensor.
Consumer electronics
In the Consumer Electronics Zone, ADI demonstrated its revolutionary audio and voice architecture A2B , supported by an extended ecosystem , and its third-generation wearable vital signs monitoring platform.
A2B is an innovative and application-specific technology from ADI that can reduce cable weight by up to 75% while providing high-fidelity digital audio. It provides excellent audio quality compared to analog audio buses, and its total system cost is much lower than existing digital bus standards.
The latest VSM platform of the third generation wristband device can measure ECG, heart rate, galvanic skin response, activity and temperature. At the scene, ADI demonstrated how to use it for data acquisition, remote monitoring and cloud-based analysis to support various applications such as sports and fitness, health care, remote patient monitoring and independent living.
