Rockchip released its first Android Things module Turnkey at CES2018
At the 2018 CES Consumer Electronics Show, Rockchip released its first Google-certified smart voice assistant solution module to the world. The module uses the RK3229 processor, is based on Google's Android Things™ system, and integrates Cast & Google Assistant functions. Turnkey's software and hardware solutions will help popularize Google Assistant products in the IoT field.
Rockchip RK3229 SOM module mainly consists of six parts: RK3229 main control chip, power management chip, DDR3/3L, eMMC, Wi-Fi/BT and built-in power meter. Global developers and OEM/ODM manufacturers can use RK3229SOM module to develop smart IoT products , such as smart voice speakers, cameras, gateways and home appliances.
The SOM based on Rockchip RK3229 chip processor has six major platform advantages:
-
It is the most cost-effective GVA (Google Voice Assistant) development module certified by Google, which can achieve rapid mass production and shorten the R&D cycle.
-
Based on the Android Things operating system, manufacturers and developers can efficiently obtain Turnkey hardware, software, and platform guidance, which is conducive to product development and innovation.
-
The module comes pre-certified with Cast and Google Assistant functions, which can greatly save development time and improve stability.
-
The module has built-in integrated software DSP, supports EQ/DRC sound effects, and is easier to develop and customize than hardware support
-
The module is based on Android Things, providing strong support for the security and reliability of the product. The apps that come with the hardware are all certified by Google's security standards.
-
Through Google OTA upgrade service, the product update speed is greatly improved and the cost is saved.
The Android Things RK3229 SOM module jointly developed by Rockchip and Google has a more convenient development model and mass production schedule, which is more conducive to improving the user experience of smart products and accelerating the popularization of smart applications.
