[Solution News] To ensure the safe growth of children, WPG launches a children's smart watch solution based on Spreadtrum products

On July 12, 2018 , WPG Holdings, a leading semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced:

Its subsidiary Quan Ding launched a children's smart watch solution based on Spreadtrum products.

Children's personal safety has always been a concern. With the rise of wearable devices, children's smart watches have emerged in the market. For children's smart watches, the Spreadtrum SC9820 platform provides a complete one-stop solution. The SC9820 is an ultra-low-cost LTE chip platform that significantly reduces the demand for memory and greatly reduces the overall cost.

SC9820 integrates a 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex™-A7 processor and uses ARM Mali 400 for 3D graphics acceleration, supporting TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, and GSM. The chip supports up to 5-megapixel cameras, 720P video playback, and FWVGA screen display.

• Run Mocor5, YunOS, KaiOS systems;

• Hands-free answering, incoming call reminder, two-way conversation;

• Support China Mobile and China Unicom 4G cards;
