Tektronix Launches AWG70000B to More Accurately Simulate Fast-Changing Real-World Signals
The waveform memory has been doubled, and a new streaming waveform ID is adopted.
Supports applications such as electronic warfare, wireless communications, and advanced research
Tektronix
Tektronix, a leading global provider of measurement solutions, has launched the AWG70000B Series of arbitrary waveform generators , which have new features to provide comprehensive support for complex electronic warfare and wireless communication system testing that requires the ability to dynamically change signal sequences in test scenarios.
Accurately recreating real-world signals becomes simple
In complex test scenarios, engineers and researchers need great flexibility to accurately recreate real-world signals and quickly perform fast-changing signal testing. To meet these requirements, Tektronix has added streaming waveform ID capabilities to its family of high-performance arbitrary waveform generators, while doubling the available waveform memory to 32G samples. These new features of the AWG70000B provide clear advantages when reproducing messy real-world signals during simulation training and evaluating modulated signal formats.

Test more signals, faster
The streaming waveform ID feature allows users to instantly access a total of 16,383 sequence steps using a direct Ethernet interface . This expanded access allows users to quickly change scenarios and replicate real-world simulation scenarios in less time while greatly improving accuracy. In electronic warfare simulations, engineers can create more complex and longer trains of continuous radar pulses to more efficiently simulate electronic countermeasures thanks to dynamic signal scenarios and deeper waveform memory.
Tools that let you do what you want
For wireless communications research, engineers can now change modulation types on the fly, simulate Doppler radar, and build obstacles or other obstructions to improve orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signal persistence in real-world deployments.
The newly launched AWG70000B series also supports the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system , meeting the IT security regulations for instrument operation by government agencies and large corporate IT departments. ↘↘
The AWG70000B Series continues the industry-leading tradition of signal fidelity, providing cutting-edge performance such as sampling rates up to 50G samples/second, 10-bit vertical resolution, and up to -80dBc spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR), which can generate exceptionally accurate RF signals and give users confidence in their measurement stimulus systems.
>>> The AWG70000B Series signal generators, combined with the PC-based SourceXpress advanced software , simplify and speed up the signal creation process. SourceXpress can create signals anywhere and control multiple AWGs ; at the same time, the number of plug-ins supporting SourceXpress is constantly increasing, providing optimized waveform creation capabilities for applications such as RF, radar, high-speed serial, optical communications, etc.
